Hi there, I’ve been noticing one of my rabbit’s poop start to smell but it’s usually always the litter box outside of his cage. I’ve been doing some reading and I’ve read that uneutured rabbits can mark their poop which makes it smell? The poop balls are not wet nor very squishy when pressed together so I don’t know what would be causing this smell. My other rabbit doesn’t have this problem either.

They don’t mark the poo, but there’s a slight sheen of oil on them in a way which can cause it. You could also be catching a whiff of cecotropes smell?

It could possibly be it. I only get a whiff of it as soon as he jumps out of the litter box and is finished eating whatever hay is in there.
