        Hey there y’all!

So I ran out of rabbit pellets. I have some being shipped in 1-3 days on Chewy, but that’s still 1-3 days. So what should I do in the meantime? I think I have it narrowed down to 2 options

        1. I can just go without pellets and only feed veggies for the next few days. Jumping Jack is not used to a pellet free diet, though
        2. My chinchilla still has pellets. If oxbow Essentials chinchilla pellets are bunny safe, should I feed those to her? She was being fed Oxbow Garden Select for adult rabbits. Same brand, but different pellet entirely, something else she isn’t used to

Let me know what I should go with, or if you can think of something else that will work better. Thanks!

You can give some chinchilla pellets. They’re a little higher in protein than rabbit pellets, but that won’t be an issue if this is just for a few days. With some chinchilla pellets and her normal hay and veg, she’ll do fine!

You can also just skip the pellets as long as she eats enough hay. I sometimes skip a day or two a week or pellets with mine intentionally just to bump up their hay consumption. She may look at you expectantly around pellet time, but she’ll be fine 🙂

It couldn’t hurt her to get some more hay in her, maybe a break from pellets will be good for her
