        So on reading the “Bunny safe thread” post I noticed raffia was mentioned. i have seen the long strands at Michaels and wondered it it was safe for buns. I thought of usuing it to make the “jellyfish” instead of newspaper strinps, but wasn’t sure if it would be safe or not.

          yes – as long as it’s not the dyed kind it’s safe for bunnies. we often use it to tie up bunny gift baskets and such when merchandising products for the rabbit haven. bunnies enjoy nibbling it too.

                  You can get it in craft stores.  Places like Michael’s and Walmart carry it around here, in the section with the yarns and such.  It is a natural product, I think made from the bark of a tree.  It is definitely bunny safe, as is sisal.
