        Hi!

I was wondering if anybunny out there has any advice/insight to our new problem we’ve been having. Our two girls had darn near perfect litter box up until about a month ago. They are a mother/daughter bonded pair and they are spayed. Bun (mom) is approx. 2.5 years old and Bear (daughter) just turned two. We did move to a new apartment last November so I was wondering if maybe that had something to do with it. New territory and all. No pee, just poop, and it’s not always. It seems to be that they favor the carpet. I’ve tried washing everything down with white vinegar but that didn’t seem to help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

        Thank you very much,

        Frustrated Bunny Mom

          Hello, and welcome!
Do they straight out poop out of the litter box (full pile of poop in one spot) or do they scatter some poops here and there?
If they leave a few poops it’s definitely a territorial behaviour and it should wear down once they’re 100% at ease in their new territory.

It’s typically scattered about. So it should hopefully stop once they get more comfortable with their new environment? Thanks!

There may always be a few poops here and there, but to ease off this behaviour try not clean after them with vinegar. Because the more they mark, the more you erase their marks. Try to just remove the poops and see if anything changes in a week or so
