My two little guys got neutered on thursday. I was very happy with the vet and the staff, and my boys came home the next morning just the same as they were (minus the boy bits of course!) Their inscisions look just fine, barely a cut at all. They are both acting as if nothing happened!

Is this normal? o.0 Or are we just really lucky here?

My rabbit came home after 2 days (She was monitored for no additional cost) and when she came home, she was fine. I took away toys and things that she could jump on so her stitches wouldn’t come out. She acted normal.

After the 24 hour pain meds wore off, Sunny acted just like his old self. I did not have to give him any pain meds, and he seems like nothing ever happened. He got neutered 3 days ago and is doing great!

Ok, good! I was a little worried, after having a few bad experiences with cats and dogs, I was prepared for waaaay worse with my rabbits!

Another great side effect of going to the vets was their nails were trimmed… now I know what they are supposed to look like Before I was barely trimming any off in fear of….something!

When would it be alright to let them out for their usual free range time? I’ll have to block off the couch so they won’t jump up on it though >_>

Well, I have been letting Sunny out of his cage since the day after his surgery because he wanted out so badly. I thought I had blocked off everything he could jump on, but I caught him up on his tunnel haven! lol….he’s just fine. Tomorrow I will unblock his lower levels in his cage. He has ramps in there but sometimes skips them and jumps about half way up. It’s not a big jump. I’m going to see how all that goes tomorrow and if all is well I may let him have more free run, maybe a jump on the couch. So that will be 5 days I think since his surgery.  My vet told me 10 days though…

I’d say both-your lucky and it’s normal Boys recover better but still that’s fantastic news! It’s still surgery and that’s great to hear they are doing so well!
