I am looking at buying one of these, see picture below.

Does anyone have one and if so are they big enough for a medium size rabbit?

ooo bunnies just love tunnels! I have not seen one of those before. However, before you go and buy one, a lot of my friends highly reccommend these really huge cardboard tubes that they get from home improvement stores, apparently its what those giant rolls of carpet and linoleum come on, and sometimes you can get them free if they are just getting rid of the tube!

I am in Aussie land and we don’t get carpet rolls that big.

I just thought one of those green ones wouldn’t cost to much to ship it here.

I wonder if City Farmers would have anything like this Lisa.

Unless Bunnings stock the bigger PVC piping for a bunny to tunnel down.

Bunning’s don’t sell bigger PVC tubbing, I have a cat tunnel they use maybe I will just stick to that and get the cats a new one.

I get fed up with rabbit products here because they are so hard to find.

I have got to stop talking baby talk to my pets lol.

                  Hi,

Yes those tunnels are great! You can buy connectors and make a whole series of tunnels and the rabbits just love them. Also, they can be easily stored away. My rabbits love to sleep in them!

just to add….my 3.75 KG lop can fit in them and he is quite a big bunny!

Ohhhhhh, Lisa !  Where did you find this ?  That looks like something I’d be interested in, too !!!

Looks like plastic, so if any "accidents" happen, it can be easily cleaned as well

Also, the cardboard tubes in the hardware store used for pouring concrete footings work great. Be sure to peel out the thin slick layer of plastic inside so they can have traction. ; ) I am not sure if you have them in Oz but it might be worth a look in the section where the bags of concrete are.

My hubby got one of those HUGE pvc pipe 2way corner connector pieces from a construction site that was going to through it away and Riley loves it, we don’t know if Mr.B can fit in it yet because it’s in Riley’s condo. But it seem big enough, if that tube is the one I’ve seen at Petco then it seems a little small. It almost seems petstores in their rabbit section gear their products to the smaller rabbits. But you can always call around for any scraps (riley even likes playing with a litle 3in skinny piece that was cut off to support his levels in the Condo).

I have had the tunnel a long time and it belongs to my cats, I pinch it in the mornings when I let the rabbits out for their play.

It is made out of nylon so it is easy to clean.

I think it came from Red dot store which is like a $2 shop; the colours were blue/yellow and red/black.

It’s been one of the best things I have brought; the cats go mad in it and do the rabbits. I am thinking of buying another one just for the rabbits.

Awwww, I sure wish they had those in our pet stores around here :o(  They are a great price if it weren’t for the shipping.  I didn’t realize they were coming from OZ or I would’ve bought a couple.

Oh well, there’ve been some wonderful suggestions made here as to what to use for tunnels, so all is not lost

                                Thanks for that link :o)

                                Blessings,

                                Tami

I have the exact same tunnel Lisa, even the colors are the same. I like to put it in the living room to encourage the bunnies to ‘hang out’ when company is over. They love that tunnel.

I got the tunnel at JYSK the ikea-ish store…It’s a cat tunnel, but hey, it’e perfect for bunnies

There you go Tami1962 you can get them in America.

I have 3 cats and they love it but unfortunately one of them is a huge bush cat that can only get in it if he does a Kamikaze Crawl, when he does get in he falls asleep.

I think I will get another one just for the rabbits.
