i have had bunnies who did this. I thought it was odd too the first time I saw it. But usually nothing is wrong. Some buns just like to sit (and meditate?) in their litter boxes. Even lay and sleep. They each have their own personalities. Just my 2 cents.

It’s normal, or rather, isn’t a problem. Most likely they’re just chillin’ (haha), find it more comfortable, or like it because it’s a place all to themselves.

You shouldn’t have to worry, unless they are getting yucky stuff in their coats, or stop going in their box because they prefer to sleep in there rather than potty. If your rabbit is dirtying its coat, clean the litterbox more often, and if they stop going potty either tempt your rabbit to relax somewhere else (mine has an old pillow, and a few hide-away boxes) or get multiple litter boxes.

Monkey likes to flop and snooze in her litter box. Especially if its nice and fresh

sugarbear loves to hang out in his litter box after he eats, or when he is tired.

Rabbits love the comfort of diggable material underneath them since they are ground dwellers. A litterbox is often the closest thing to resemble this.

if you dont like him/her lying in a litter box try making a diggy box (shedded news paper ect. in a box) or lay down a blanket or towel. but otherwise it is completely normal
