  My rabbit seems to be having his fur pulled out by either both or one of his two female mates. They are both spayed and he is neutered and I haven’t been able to catch them in the act. Anyone have any advice on how to stop it or do I need to keep them separated? Generally they are always cuddling and grooming each other. I can’t tell if he maybe has another condition going on?

  I think this is called “barbering”. If you can rule out parasites, skin conditions, or a dietary issue, then most likely your buns are either bored, stressed, or you have a bun trying to claim dominant status.

  It does sound like over grooming. You can try separating them (still in the same room but not able to get to each other). This can allow time for the affected area to grow back in and then reintroduce.

  Thank you! He doesn’t have any skin problems right now so I will try separating them and try to break there boredom , hopefully this will work out
