So I finally got my 3 male rabbits fixed about 2 weeks ago. One of the boys, Akira, is a super cuddle bug just like his parents and I’ve also discovered that he seems to really enjoy watching k-pop videos with me and listening to the music. Whenever I play it he just really hunkers down and relaxes but keeps an ear towards my computer and when I stop the songs he gets up and looks at me with this look of utter confusion and disapproval until I hit play again and he’s happy. It’s super cute and I love it. But the only problem I’ve noticed is the entire time he’s laying down with me while I pet him he’s like nonstop pooping so when I finally put him up there’s a little hill of bunny poop left for me to clean up like a crappy present (no pun intended ?.) It’s normal poop and he acts completely normal. I’m just wondering if this is what I have to look forward to forever? It’s not that bad because I just pick up and throw away all the pieces but I have to admit I’d still rather it not happen at all. Will he do this less after his leftover hormones die down? Or is this normal for some rabbits?

He also had a serious problem with flinging pee in my face and around my room before he was fixed. It was hell to deal with and clean up so I’m praying to God that he’s done with that now. He’s 8 months old so I hope I didn’t wait too long to get him fixed.

This is him btw. He is also the baby rabbit in my profile pic <3

Well, my Badger still flings litter, pee, and poop whenever he is mad at someone/something. Hes been fixed for over a year now Its always funny though, even if gross. If you cuddle him and put him down sooner than he was hoping for, he will run to his litter box and start hardcore digging causing the poo and pee to be flung in your direction. Its his revenge, I guess

Some buns just poop when theyre happy or when they like something. My Bombur poops on things he likes, such as shoes, clothes left on the floor, the shaded corner of the room, me, ect. Hes also been neutered for well over a year. Some bunnies dont grow out of their gross habits, although their gross habits may die down

Well at least rabbit poop is so easy to clean up then! ? It would be the worst if it was like dog poop everywhere. I’d still love them but I think I’d get diapers for them at that point. I hope he stoppes flinging his pee though…..like not from the litter box pee but straight pee from his body. The first time he did it it was right in my face and I didn’t believe it was pee at first. I was like no he just had a lot of water on his paw! But I was so very wrong. He would kick his legs and fling it at anyone who scared him, to mark his territory, or at people and rabbits he likes. So far so good though so fingers crossed about pee flinging. If he does keep doing it though I’ll have to build him a habitat out of plexiglass. And I guess as a precaution for poop I’ll just have his own blanket to put under him when I cuddle him and hopefully it’ll die down but if not it won’t be the end of the world.

Lol! I am very glad their poop is like little rocks over dog poop, too. Its easy to vacuum thus much easier to clean.

Ah ok! If he is flinging pee like that, it could mean that he is mad, too. Rabbits are very expressive in the weirdest ways, lol. Can you try a more absorbent litter? Pee on the fur can cause fur thinning and eventual burns on the skin.
