        So,

I have noticed that my rabbit Noob seems like she has OCD. Anytime a toy or object is placed in her cage she starts to throw it around until it is next to her litter box. If you place a toy in the litter box she will throw it into the very same place. If you put food in the cage it gets eaten(she will eventually eat everything, no matter what you put in the cage) or moved to another corner.

It is rather amusing to watch, but I never thought I would see the day a rabbit would organize its cage in such a fashion. Does anyone else have a rabbit that seems to be very organized?

        Joe

lol… well i wouldn’t call what baby bun does ‘organizing’ so much as it’s ‘de-organizing’!  like spreading her hay all over her room.  i’ve seen her line her butt up with the opening in the cardboard box and then shoot the hay between her back thumpers.  she has also rejected toys before.  usually if she doesn’t like a toy she just pushes it somewhere shedoesn’t normally hange out, but once i found a new toy tossed right out of her room into the hall way!

sounds very cute what your bun does.  noob must have a very specific ‘system’ going on there

My dearly departed Niklaus had a closet. You or I might call it a lil bunny igloo, he called it his closet.

He would take any toys in his house and put them there. If you’d take everything out, he’d put each thing back in there. The only exception was his favorite jingly ball, which also served as a call bell for his meals, since he’d repeatedly drop it in his bowl if the “servants” were running behind schedule.

He was a pretty extraordinary bunny.

They sure are clever little things.

I once found Maryann’s toys stuffed into the corner of my living room. The interesting part of this is that the jingly ball was inside the bathroom tissue tube which was inside of the oatmeal tube.

She also stuffs her toys in her cage behind her food trough, basically out of site. But I do hear her occasionally jingling them so she must bring them out to play with then puts them back.

My bunnies also like to put their toys “away.” Unfortunately, for them, “away” means in any type of container, so about 50% of the time, the toys end up in the litter box, about 20% in the food dish, and then about 30% of the time, I am fishing their toys out of their water dish!

Bindi is an “obsessive unorganizer”. He gets super mad when I clean his cage and I put all his toys in his toybin. He throws them in a huge tantrum until they are all out of the bin. It’s pretty funny to watch!

Mine disapprove of their rugs and blankets being neat on the floor.  As soon as I straighten everything out, they start to dig at them to make them messy again.  They are also fans of the "toy in the water bowl" maneuver, which get really yucky if the toy happens to be made of cardboard or paper.
