        Hi everyone,

one of the three bunnies of my best friend is achting strange. I have quite Some knowledge about bunnies and have adviced her in what might work to change it but we haven’t had any succes. She already went to see a docter but he said there was nothing wrong with him. The problem is that he has stopped to gewoon himself. His fur(short hair) now tangles together with poop at his bottom, when not bathed rugularly. I had never heard if it, but I live in the Netherlands and people generally dont care about Rabbits that much so that could be the Reason. Does Anyone of you have a solution?

does he still groom the rest of his body?

          is he overweight?

          how old is he?

          are his poops normal?

how often is his litter box cleaned?

some bunnies just have a hard time cleaning their butts in which case a butt bath is needed. Just a shallow warm pool of water and a soak should get it off

Is he experiencing ‘poopy butt’ aka cecals getting stuck down there? If so, it could be a case of a too rich diet and so he’s overproducing them.
