Hello, my bunny somehow reached the plant on a stool and took a nibble of the leaf. I looked online and it said it was poisonous to pets. Is there anything I can do or is there something I should look at for?

Chinese evergreens are relatively mildly toxic. They contain insoluble calcium oxalate crystals that can irritate the mucosa in the mouth and GI tract. Rabbits seem less sensitive than cats and dogs and children to this type of plant toxicity.

Push hay and water and observe appetite and poop.

              What is the plant?

Most plants labeled as toxic to pets are probably not going to cause any harm through simply a nibble. Symptoms of poisoning come rather quickly, within a few hours. If nothing happens, then you’re likely in the clear. Watch for things like drooling/foaming at the mouth, lack of appetite, lethargy, etc. Severe poisonings can lead to seizures.

I used Plantnet to identify the picture. It gave me Aglaonema commutatum, Chinese evergreen.
