  My rabbit was neutered this morning and he seems to be doing okay. He hops around when he wants to and has eaten a bunch of lettuce and half an apple along with a bit of pellets and hay. He hasn’t pooped and peed once since going to the vet though :/
  
  The fur around his eyes is wet and it looks like he’s crying Should I be worried?

  Keep him eating, if he has not pooped by first thing in the morning call the Vet and take him in.

  They put a kind of gooey stuff on their eyes while under to keep them from drying out during surgery, it’s nothing to worry about. He’ll wash it off Keep an eye on his litter box, and if he hasn’t pooped by morning, definitely call the vet back.

  As monkeybun said, not to worry, it is just ointment around his eyes. It’s good he has eaten something. It’s great to hear you were able to get him neutered. Healing {{{vibes}}} for your bunny boy.

  I was also freaked out by my rabbit’s “wet eye” appearance after surgery, but it is nothing to worry about. (I wonder why vets/vet techs don’t mention this when you pick the bun up?)

  I always wondered what they did to make the bunnies’ eyes goopy like that after surgeries. I assumed it was some part of the procedure since they all have it, and now I know why. And yes, they usually don’t tell you to expect that either.

  My bunny still has his scrotum.. is that weird? I thought it was all suppose to go away.. hahaha. Or am I just totally misinformed?

  It will shrink in time-just like a pregnant person who has a baby-the tummy is there for a while and then shrinks It will go away

  I was completley freaked out about the stuff under Buster’s eyes. It took a while to have it go away, but you can lightly wipe it off w/a wet cloth. Has he pooped or peed yet? I know it takes a while…..
