My bunny has started shaking lately and I don’t know why. I notice it primarily when I am petting him. But I know he is not afraid of me. He also loves to be pet. Can anyone give me a clue as to why or if I should be increasingly concerned? I read on a website that it can be because they miss another rabbit? My other rabbit died a couple months ago I can tell he has been more lonely and he has been more needy. They were in pens right next to each other. But it only started recently.

         -Extra Info

-He is a 2 year old mini rex.

-He also is an outdoor rabbit.(But still very spoiled)

Can you specify the shake source? Is it coming from the head and reverberating throughout the body, is it coming from lower body movement, or is it a full body shake, evenly distributed?

          Any accompanying noises?

Yes, please specify the shaking a little bit more! Is it a tremble? Is he like shaking all over at the same rate as his breath rate?

It’d be really great if you could film it and upload to YouTube or Flickr or Google Drive and link to the film so we can have a lock.

I can best describe it as a whole bodied shiver (except his head) and it is only really when I pet him sometimes. Aswell as soft teeth grinding like I said earlier he likes the attention. Could it be that he is excited? Also the shake is so small you cannot even see it. You  can only tell if you touch him.

Sometimes when they tooth-purr it’s just a vibration, you can’t hear it but you feel it if you touch the bun. That means the bunny is feeling very good.

This doesn’t seem worrisome at all, more like he appreciates being pet.
