Oke so one of my rabbits Mako is acting strangely. He doesn’t wanna eat. In the morning he did eat his pellets and hay. He seems to push his stomach to the ground. Im thinking he might be having a gas pain? His belly is soft gladly, not hard. After this im gonna go and massage his belly and hope he gets better. I readed that when rabbits have gas pains that you can give Pediatric Simethicone which is really baby gas drops so im thinking of going to the store and buy one pack but the thing is even if I do go and buy I won’t know if any brand is safe for rabbits. What should I do? None of my last bun and the other bun have never had gas pains so im not 100% sure on what to do. Ofcourse if by morning he doesn’t seem to do well then I probably have to call a vet. Oh I just remembered. He also doesn’t seem to drink enough water. My other bun is drinking lots of water and his pee is almost clear while Makos pee is more thicker and yellowish-creamy color sometimes.
Any help and information is welcomed!

So I went on to buy Infacol and 2 syringes. I readed that Infacol is safe for rabbits. I haven’t given Mako Infacol yet. He doesn’t seem to do well.

When my bun experienced this we gave him some infant gas drops. Is that what Infacol is where your are? We gave two doses about an hour apart.

It took about 2-3 hours, but by night time he was back to his normal routine.

            Best Wishes!

I second using the gas drops 2-3 drops every 2-3 hours. If he hasn’t perked up in 6-12 hours or eaten/pooped, then a vet is a go.

Totally agree with the others. Infacol won’t hurt, it’s not taken up into the body. It acts locally and it gets pooped out.

You can also give him a light tummy massage like in this video. The elevation of the butt seems to be particularly helpful:

Thank you all~ Mako is already feeling lot better. Hes eating little at a time. Later just in case Im gonna give him little bit more of the medicine depending on how he feels and hope hes gonna be back to being himself soon enough.

                    I’m glad to hear it!
Standard treatment with infacol for gas pain is 0.5-1 ml per hour for 3 hours, then 0.5 ml every two -three hours for as long as you see fit.
