I’ve been trying to find the perfect floor which is easy to clean and unchewable but can’t find anything. I’ve tried foam mats with a piece of cardboard over to prevent chewing but the buns just chewed thru the cardboard. Any suggestions? Ty

I use a memory foam mat. It’s super easy to clean and comfy for their feetsies. They take a day to dry after cleaning ( i hose them down with water) but the bunnies can last. That’s my best suggestion. If it doesn’t work it’s okay. They don’t need a floor unless it’s to cover wiring.

Flooring remnants? You can get these pretty cheap, and some have a rougher texture that is good for them to run on. So far my rabbit hasn’t shown any interest in chewing on this. She ate the foam mats I had before, lol.

We used a remnant of linoleum under the cage, allowing it to lay up the side of the wall just a bit to keep anything from going underneath it. (Gentle scoring on the back of a piece will allow you to bend it upward without breaking it) It wipes up super easy and keeps the carpet perfectly clean underneath. Their cage has multiple levels and one is a bit of a marking issue for our young female so I put some down in the corner there as well (again, scoring the underside and allowing it to come up the side just enough to contain any moisture) I was worried that they might chew it since it was not glued down but it lays nice and flat and other than one or two expected test nibbles they have left it alone and I no longer have to worry about it soaking into the wood flooring on the cage.

I just built my bunny a HUGE c&c cage, but the coroplast floor is too slick and he doesn’t like it. I put down dish towels for now, but I’d like a more permanent solution. He does seem to really like the towels tho, but I’m worried about keeping them clean
