I’ve been growing some kale recently and noticed green velvety cabbageworms and aphids on the leaves. i’ve tried to get rid of them but they somehow keep coming back so i’ve just tried to thoroughly wash the leaves before giving it to the bun. but i’m not perfect and sometimes i can’t see if there are cabbageworms or aphids on a leaf and so she might eat them. it should be ok right? realistically speaking rabbits would encounter a lot of bugs and accidentally eat them in the wild ? are they poisonous to her? i can stop giving the leaves to her if they are

I know my buns have eaten their fair share of aphids… I consider it a good sign of organic produce!

That said though, I honestly don’t know about the worms. Birds (including chickens and ducks) apparently love to eat them, so I doubt they are poisonous. Have you tried doing a 10% vinegar dunk followed by a freshwater dunk before feeding? That usually gets most of the critters off.

Mine eat home grown greens bugs n all, I assume in the wild buns do the same, the acid in the stomach probably breaks them down safely?
