  Today Sammy passed away due to GI Statis. Theo is very sad and upset. He’s not his usual happy go lucky self. Before she went to the vet i allowed him to brush her and clean her. I think he knew that she was going to pass because his whole demeanour changed after that. I was wondering how i could make him less depressed? I think im going to adopt him another young friend. Tips would be great. I really appreciate the nice and caring people on this forum! You all have brought me through tough times and I cant help but thank you!

  I’m so sorry for you and Theo and Sammy. When Merlin passed, Guin was sad for about a month. Some people adopt right away. I gave Guin time, and when I saw her cheer up, I adopted. Bonding her with Merlin was easy. After he died, bonding her with Lancelot was difficult. It took 8 months. But now they are the snuggliest ever. She stays close to him. Although it was a difficult bond, they are both really happy together and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  When Pippi lost his bonded bunfriend, Rusty, he was glad to bond the same day to a feral little girl we had just rescued, who was very poorly, and just wanted to cuddle in snug to him. But every bun is different, and you will also have your own feelings as to when is best too.
