Some of you may have heard that I’m on a work trip, I just got a call that Negan had gotten through my bunny proofing of their room and had access to a power cord and land line and chewed both, he was thumping and pacing when caught, I’m certain he’s been shocked. Now I know everyone will start to bash on the care taker but I’m also as guilty, and everyone makes mistakes. Now I’ll know to add extra grids behind the desk where the cables are.

I’m planning to go tomorrow morning if he doesn’t eat anything starting now, if he doesn’t I’ll take him to a vet. Are there any medications I can get from the vet to help when I get home such as painkillers? If I can I’d like to get it on my way home…

It would depend if hes been burned or not. In horrible cases, shocks can cause burns which can lead to serious infection and might need surgery. It would be best that he sees a vet as soon as you can, even if he does start eating. Of course, it could wait an extra day or two if he is eating. If hes not eating he needs to see an emergency vet.

Well good news is that he is still eating, and I’ll have my break in two days so hopefully all will go well then. What would the burn look like if he were burned?

It sounds like he is doing okay. Phew!
Id have the carers check his lips and gums for any inflammed areas.

I’ll let them know, thanks for the advice.
