Is there a good site that has pictures and descriptions of the different domestic rabbit breeds?  I’ve googled it but it didn’t pull up any really “good” sites.  I’d also like to see what the different colors are that rabbits can be.

        Thanks!

I had skipped over that site because I tend to be repelled by anything related to breeders…but since you recommended it I checked it.  The very first one I looked at was Americans…and they are described as good for meat, fur, and show.  THAT’S NOT WHAT I WANT TO READ!!!  Ack!  I want sunshine and rainbows!  Not “they’re good for putting on weight fast so you can eat em”.  Blah.

                Thanks for the help though…

Oh, BTW…would Ranger be considered gray or blue?  And what do you call a fawn with blue/gray undercoat?

I think gray, but it’s hard to tell from a picture

T & R’s mom, I don’t blame you for not wanting to read that kind of stuff either. Try these out instead:

Thanks so much! There are so many I’d like to have lol! Those tan ones are especially gorgeous. Does anyone here have one or know someone who does?

You’re welcomeT & R’s Mom. You can try a local rabbit shelter or rescue, there are so many cuties waiting for forever homes, you could just find one or two or three or more that will capture your heart of the same color that you mentioned.

I just want to give a general reminder to everyone that the talk of intentional breeding is prohibited here because I could see this discussion potentially going there.

I don’t know anything about breeds personally – all my bunnies I describe based on personality. Juli is the “attention lover” and Henri is the “Rabbitude” breed…. I don’t think breed really means all that much, just their character!
