Hello! This is Jupiter, and I was just curious about her breed/coat color. The breeder said she was a rex + lop accidental breed, but I want to have opinions from other people. She’s about 8-9 months old, and has a coat color I don’t quite know how to describe. It’s dark brown with golden streaks above it? She also has quite a large dewlap which I believe is normal, but just making sure.

She does look like she could be a cross between a rex and a lop. The rex fur gene is recessive, so that would explain why your bunny doesn’t have rex fur. And the ears do look very lop-like. Lop mixes will often have helicopter ears, some more than others. As for the color, she looks like she is broken agouti. The broken pattern is common in rex bunnies, but it has been introduced into many different breeds.
