Rabbit ate rubber bracelet

I was busy getting some last minute assignments done for school, so I was a little bit later than usual to feed the bunnies. When I was preparing their food I realized one of my buns had something in her litter box so I went to check it out. It was a rubber bracelet, the wider ones you get at hot topic that emo kids wear. The bracelet was all chewed up and broken. There were no remnants anywhere so I figure she ate all that is missing. I don’t know how long ago she got to it, I didn’t even know I still had that bracelet. I’m assuming maybe a couple hours. I just don’t know what to do, I’ve been checking on her since and she’s eating and drinking normally. Due to COVID-19 and places around me closed because of the riots I don’t know if I’d be able to get to a vet that takes rabbits as most of my area is still closed. I know the only vet in my area that for sure is open only takes cat and dog. I don’t know what to do and I’m worried she could get sick. I’ll wait it out til my parents wake up and tell them but Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Bunnies sometimes eat the weirdest things. I had a bun who ate part of a hot water bottle and, at another time, half a rubber cat toy. The good thing is that rabbits tend to chew whatever they eat very well. They cant swallow big chunks of things like cats and dogs do. This makes intestinal obstruction less likely.

The recommendation is to try and make the bun eat hay, and encourage fluid intake. This is easiest to do by serving the bun’s greens freshly rinsed and dripping wet.

Also clean the litterbox, so you can keep track of amount and size of poops.

Simethicone baby gas drops can be given on suspicion of tummy discomfort. You typically give 1 ml once per hour for starters. It’s not absorbed by the bun’s body, it only acts locally in the GI canal.
