I have a rabbit that I would consider a genius. She always finds a way back behind/into the couch. The couch is against this wall, but there is a groove that she likes to go in and out of. The issue is, she likes to go under the couch, and just chill under where the recliners are. There are a lot of metal objects under our couch, and I don’t want her to hurt herself. But I can’t seem to stop her. I tried stuffing both ends with pillow, but she just pulled out a couple of pillows with her mouth and jumped over the rest. Any tips on a very smart bunny that likes to outsmart you?

Perhaps begin associating the area with negative stimuli, like a loud noise or you tugging your bun away from it forcefully. Offer some alternative nook-and-cranny places if possible.

I have one of those too smart bunnies. Amelia loves to be behind the couch, she also loves to play with the long curtains back there. I figured I’d outsmart her and just push the couch right against the wall so she wouldn’t fit. That only led to her going under the couch and tearing open the lining to get into the couch. We learned that if we give her access to behind the couch she won’t go under. We just re arranged the living room so she could have a number of hides corners. It gives her safe feeling spots and keeps her out of areas she could get hurt
