Sorry for starting so many new threads, I just didn’t think this question fit into any of my other topics. Anyways, the weather is gorgeous today and I am letting Sully out in his Xpen on the grass. Can I do the same for Frankie? He seems so bored in his cage and Xpen and I’m trying to keep him entertained. I’m not sure if nibbling the grass will cause stomach upset or not. If so, I could cover up the ground with a sheet so he can’t get to the grass but can still be outside. I know Barbie told me in a thread that I should keep him inside, but he just seems so bored and he keeps trying to escape from his pen! I thought this might be a nice change for him.

Also, I have gravel and concrete areas I can put his Xpen on if those aren’t too harsh for his little feet.

I would avoid grass until he’s old enough to eat veggies in general – so maybe a few more months. Just like any new veggie, it can be hard on young tummies.

I would keep him inside for now too. He needs to be able to handle anything he may eat out there. Grass and clover may be too harsh. Can you just let him run around a room in the house?

No, I can’t. The only room that is bunny proofed is shared with my other rabbit. I have non grassy areas that I can let him out in, so I think that will suffice for now.

You can put the xpen on a sheet for foot comfort, but I’d also recommend putting a light sheet clipped to the top so he is both protected overhead and can’t jump out. He can see and enjoy the air and view through the sides of the pen.
