I have a bag of bean sprouts that I know I’ll never finish on my own.  I saw alfalfa sprouts on the diet list but not bean.  Can I share these with Quincy, or are they as bad as feeding him regular beans?

        Thanks!

I saw bean sprouts referred to as a possible bunny supplement in addition to their regular greens on one site, but it wasn’t a very reputable one. Usually in my case, I always err on the side of caution and if I can’t find any information about the vegetable being safe or not, I will not feed it. Maybe there is someone else that knows more than I do – but for the time being I’d recommend not feeding it until someone knows for sure whether it is safe or not.

I would say since beans are a no, bean sprouts would be too since they are probably also high in starch and may also be gassy as well. At least that is what I recall my local HRS manager telling me when I asked about it. Alfalfa sprouts are OK though but stay away from the other ones like garlic, bean, raddish (gassy) etc.

Thanks. That’s why I was worried about them. I guess I’ll skip them to be safe.
