Suddenly, out of the blue, I got bitten by both Owen AND Molly today! My sweet little Mollymolly who is so timid that she tries to be friends with the furniture… 😥

They both bit me high on the upper leg, almost in the same spot. They gave me a hard shove with their nose, and bit immediately afterwards 😥

Looking back, this is probably the first time I’ve been so near to them while “the communists are marching”.

They’re restless around me and suddenly hesitate to take treats. Has anyone ever heard of this before, or is it just a freak coincidence?

My bunnies have never reacted in this way, but that’s not to say it couldn’t happen?

I have never experienced this, but it doesn’t seem unlikely. Rabbits have a very acute sense of smell. A classic way of deterring roe deer and wild rabbits from your flowerbeds is to sprinkle blood meal around the plants. I’ve never used that method myself though, so I don’t know if it works.
