So, Eddy and I spent all weekend building TigerLily a new and improved cage! We are very excited as we reconfigured out room to make a special area for her, I like this set up bc it is L shaped and now she can sit by the window if she likes and look outside.

Our apartment has very good insulation, it is brand new and we were the first residents to live in it. It can stay very warm in the Winter but Cool in the summer.

My question is now during the winter it gets about 40 -46 degrees in the Valley where we live, we sleep with the windows open and the dogs have their comfortors which the pile into. I assume the house probably gets about 60 – 65 degrees. Is this too cold for Bunny? It has only been a few nights so far but it just occurred to me, she has this Cuddle cup thing she sleeps in bc it is snuggly and her cage is lined with towels.

        Please advise.

No, that should be fine. Do you sleep with the windows open even in the winter? Brrr…

She shoudl be fine as long as she has something to snuggle with. Just think of wild bunnies. They have their little burrows lined with fur and grass and that’s how they stay warm all winter. Plus, they have a warm under coat. I took Lily out in the snow the other day. It was probably about 10 degrees out and she loved it!

ditto! Our place gets chilly lately 60 – 65, but they have a little house and tunnel that they will hang out in beause holds in their own body heat better.

Also, you want to protect them from any draft as well.

I figure that if I’m reasonably comfortable, in the winter or the summer, the buns are comfortable too; If it’s too hot or cold for me, then it’s too hot or cold for them Like yes your in bed with a comforter on, but they have fur. And they aclimatize as well, so as long as it’s not a huge quick change (from 90-60 or something) then thats good too

Great! Thanks everyone! I think she likes the weather, she has been sitting by the window and she likes to look outside, our view is the San Gabriel mountain range and there are flowers and bugs that fly by the window, I think she enjoys looking at the things passing by.
