Question about bonded vet visits

My pair is bonded and it is a cemented bond with no complications. Stickers will be going into the vet soon to get her sneezing problem looked at (I have talked to the vet about her already and they aren’t that worried since she has no symptoms beyond an occasional sneeze, but better safe than sorry). Should I take Powder with us to avoid separation / anxiety on his part from his bond mate going missing for several hours? Or would it be OK to take her to the vet without him? Previous vet visits they weren’t bonded and I don’t want to cause any issues between them. But no point exposing Powder to the vets office and the stress if they’d be OK apart for a few hours either.

 When it is just for a check-ups, I just brought both Jack and Vivian.  Partly because it kept Jack a bit calmer.  If anything it helped strengthen their bond when they would go to the vet together.    I have actually though only brought one bunny before and left the bonded mate behind.  I have had two different reactions upon their return.   Sometimes the mate that stays at the house will just be very interested about the smells on their mate that has returned.  Jack liked to spray Rucy. (joy ), and mark more — but he wasn’t ever aggressive.  However, Rucy would get aggressive if she didn’t recognize his scent — it wouldn’t last long though.   

For me though it’s heavier to carry two, I just think that they can find comfort in each other and help prevent the “You smell weird” response when one returns from the vet. 

And as far as catching anything at the vets office, I’ve never had that happen to the rabbit that is along for the ride.

I’ve taken Wooly to the vet tons of times without Leopold, there were no problems. I haven’t taken Leopold to the vet without Wooly though. This is just because it’s easier to set up a double appointment if it’s just a check up. Since Wooly was having issues with his third eyelid before, he was back and forth to the vet a few times without Leopold.

I brought my newly bonded pair, Simon and Olive together for his vet wellness check up. They rode in the same carrier, and Olive “thumped” for “her” bunny back when we took Simon out of the carrier to be examined. I’d bring both bunnies; I was nervous about bringing both to the vet because I was afraid it would create a ruckus between them (this is a newly bonded pair, you see) but since yours are cemented, I would bring both. I’ve heard the bunny who has been left at home will sometimes get angry/not recognize the smell of the new bunny and they might have a row. I was pleased; my bunnies did just fine.
