I was just wondering if apple branches, blackberry bushes, and grass count towards thier daily veggies.  Is there such thing as too much apple branches/blackberry twigs and leaves. They really love them!

I really don’t know, I don’t count it when my bunnies get willow branches but I’m really not sure. Good question though!

There isn’t a daily recommended “value” for them that counts towards their overall nutritional intake. These items are to be given as a treat once in a while and should not prevent or stop your rabbit from eating hay. Hay is more vital to their diet than blackberry bushes & apple branches. The grass should only be given as a treat as well because it can upset the digestive system of your rabbit and sometimes there are unknown parasites that are hidden in/on the grass. Be sure that it is organic and has no pesticides, herbicides, fungicides etc. Hope this helps!

I kinda thought the blackberry leaves, grass, and dandilions would count in the leafy greens veggie section. They still eat plenty of hay and it never upsets their tummies.
