I use applesauce cups and the like as toys/treat servers. I noticed my Bun liked to play with them. he takes them and tosses them and pushes them around. I keep several on hand(or he does, sometimes I can’t figure out where he’s put them!). They also work well as treat servers. I found this awesome bunny treat recipe recently (http://www.ehow.com/how_2190923_make-nutritional-rabbit-treats.html) and he *loves* them. I put  one or two of theose, or some hay and pellets, or some bunny safe dried flowers in them. I put them in fun places, like in his rabbit maze(anywhere the dog can’t get to it) so he can find and enjoy them. Then he gets to play with the cup.

A note on the rabbit treats. I couldn’t get the dough to stick together, so I used a bit of water and more oarts to make it more dough like. It’s much better than the seasme covered peanut treats I used to give him. Now when I say “treat.” and he comes running, I don’t feel guilty because it has healhty stuff in it.  I want to try an apple version next.

We have these balls we got some time ago for our cat Lucy.  They open in half kinda like the plasic easter eggs but they have a small hole in one side.  We fill with treats or tiny pieces of carrots, etc.  It took Gulliver a few days to get the concept of rolling it around for the goodies to come out the small hole but Lainey picked up on it immediately.  We shake that and they come running with binks galore!  Lainey tosses around the top & bottom to the “Barrell of Monkeys” so putting anything in them ends up everywhere.  Bunz are so fun!
