A silly post, but thought I’d share.

I cleaned Herself’s cage today – vacuuming, the works. She waited patiently then went in nicely for breakfast and morning treat. I shut the cage. It closes, then has as second, more secure latch. I didn’t latch it tight. (You see what’s coming.)

I leave my bedroom door shut when she is out so she won’t go in there. With Miss Priss in her house, I got ready for my shower and only left the bathroom door open a bit. Finished, dressed, walked into bedroom – and shrieked!

I had left the door ajar. There was a BUNNY IN MY BEDROOM! Ok, it’s not the Psycho shower scene, but she also jumped a foot and ran to the wall. I shood her away and she ran right out, knowing she was a bad bunny. She went into her basket in the livingroom and is still there.

Anyone else have their bunny pop up unexpectedly? Scare you? Heard quiet bunny chortling about doing it?

          I came downstairs one day last week, said good morning to the bunnies and did a quick bunny count…. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…. hmm….. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,…. where’s the 6th?  Where’s Keelie??  Then I look up and see:

Keelie’s up on TOP of their condo.  Just looking at me as if to say “so what’s YOUR problem?!”

That picture is so cute. I was wondering if there was a way to do a second floor to an xpen?

Oh my word. Samantha is quite a character. For some reason, Meadow LOVES our bedroom. I normally leave the door closed, but it’s bun-proofed, so it’s not a BIG deal if she gets in. If she sees the door is open, she high-tails it there and hops on the bed and DIGS like her life depends on it! Max could care less about our room.

Annette: that is the cutest picture EVER! She is gorgeous! She probably goes up there all the time, you just happened to catch her this time… lol.

Cue the screaming violin……  Lol Pam!  Who got more of a fright? I hate when they suddenly are underfoot because I’m scared I’ll step on them. Or that skittering run they do when you’ve scared them accidently.

Annette, I saw the size of your condo in that other post. How on earth did Keelie get up there? From the top floor? From what you’ve said about her, I’m gathering she is quite a character! Mischievous and cute are quite a combo.

The closest I got to the psycho shower scene was when I was taking one and our black cat “Tooey” suddenly laid into the curtain with her claws full out. Served me right for ever teaching her to bat at my hand from behind the curtain (or under the blanket) as a game. 0_o
Left a good scratch on my leg to boot. I think she probably got the scare of her life at the shriek I let out though.

I know exactly what you mean about that latch, Pam. I have two cages like that myself and for some reason lately I haven’t been locking them properly. My hair stands on end when I think of the trouble they could get into if they got out.
I don’t let my bunnies free roam for a lot of good reasons, (accidentally or otherwise), the main one being with my husband’s poor back, he tends to stumble a lot and if he fell and crushed one of them I could never forgive him for it. I worry enough about the cats as it is. 0_o

He scares Tooey with his sneeze. (He tends to let off quite a few in rapid succession when he gets the urge.) I can remember hearing the scrabbling claws as he sneezed particularly loudly one night and the cat absolutely took off at warp speed trying to get away and just couldn’t get a purchase on the linoleum. Poor thing lost traction altogether and slid into the kitchen cabinet with a loud “SCREECH…BANG!” Sounded like a ten car pile up.
To this day when he starts sneezing, she gets all stiff and jittery and looks for a place to hide.

It is no longer a surprise to me when Maryann suddenly comes hopping out of my bedroom despite a locked condo and an X-pen blocking the doorway.

                      Just happens too damn much.

I fell asleep on the couch.  His Majesty Cotton decided to jump onto my chest.  Scared me and in scaring me awake it scared him too.

OH Odie my dog.  Well when I would take a bath she would come to see.   I would put my hand under water and she would stick her face in it and blow bubbles.

I walked into my room the other day to find Frankie on top of my dresser. And everything that was on my dresser on the floor. It’s funny because they know what they’re doing and that they’re not supposed to. I walked in and he just froze and stared at me like “There’s nothing unusual here… these are not the droids you’re looking for.”

When is that new star wars movie coming out? I might find myself obsessed again… loved it when I was little.

Those stories are all so funny =p

I was in the shower at my friend’s house once and her cat hopped INTO the shower with me. I knew it was in the bathroom but… it’s a cat. I wasn’t expecting that.

And when I first got my foster bunny (my first bunny!) I put him in his new cage and went to get him some veggies from the corner store downstairs. I was back in like 15, minutes and he was not in his cage. I freaked out for a half a second (I’ve had this new rabbit for a half hour and he’s not even MY RABBIT, right? I lost the house rabbit society’s rabbit! agh!) before finding him laying on one of the windowsills across the room, one leg hanging off the sill. He was chillin. He really liked it there apparently because it took three more escapes to the sill before I realized I had to butterfly clip his cage closed.

                                  LOL, silly bun.

Have I had bunnies scare me?
                                  many many times.

Polo frequently outwits me and escapes. But I must admit, you have never seen a happy bun until you’ve seen Polo dash off with the raisin box. She runs off, ears flopping, quite pleased with herself until she sees that pesky owner following her. At this point she’s hiding in any places she can find trying to munch her nommies while she still has the chance. Then owner scoops her up and in the process Polo is shaking her head wildly, causing raisin bullets to fly everywhere. Once fully scooped and put into the cradle position (the easiest way to calm her down a tad) Owner tugs gently at the box still clenched in her teeth. Finally she gives up, owner gets the box, puts her down and she runs off to the other side of the pen area kicking her heals and shunning owner.

…knowing she can now hoover up all the raisins she scattered around like Johnny Appleseed. LOL

my eight month old baby boy stanley keeps pulling himself up to stand and manages to open up the rabbit pen and let them out so we have to put a stool in front of the door now. It looks like he is knocking at their door to invite them out to play as he crawls off after them laughing. They dont seem to find him a threat either i think because of his size.
years ago we came home to find one of our rabbits (meant to be locked in its pen) sat next to the cat on the stairs looking like butter wouldnt melt with that wide eyed “whaaaaat” look on its face. xx

My dog steals my bath towel while I have a shower. Yesterday, I come out of the tub, — no towel! I knew who’d taken it but couldn’t find it anywhere… later I found it floating in the pool water on the patio.

ROFLMAO at Polo and the floppy ears flying with raisin box in her mouth…What a wonderful mental image to cheer my day! ^_^
