So I decided to make a semi-professional video of my horse for sale.  I figured, if someone is going to buy her, they will probably want to see more than pictures.  So I made my video!!  It was such a weird day.  I think she knew she was being videotaped because she was a complete angel!  Normally, she acts like a crazy horse when I put her on the long line and she has this insane extended trot and I was going to show it off in the video, but she was soooo lazy!!  But, it worked to my advantage because she wasnt being a butt to me haha, but here is the final product for those of you who are interested…  I really hope this gets the ball rolling, I am hoping to sell her soon because money is tighter than ever right now and it would be easier to afford things, even though we can afford her now, its just easier without a horse costing us over 300 a month not including shoes and shots, teeth filing, and more!!!

Let me know what you think!!

Thanks bunnyfriend! It sucks that I have to sell her, but I know she will be happier somewhere else.

How pretty! The only thing that would have made it more appealing, at least for me if I was into that sort of horsemanship, would have been to let her tail flow, and if you wanted to get really fancy, do her braids up all proper for dressage. Also, her feet, at least her front ones, look a little long imo, but that might be because I am used to the shorter barefoot look? She looks really clean and well kept.

                She’s beautiful! A lovely mover.

What a gorgeous riding ring you guys have! Wish I had a mountain view when I rode my horse!

What a lovely horse! The view especially – I wish I could ride somewhere like that.

My only nitpicks – in some of the lunging footage she seemed to favor the near fore (I think) during the trot. I didn’t see it under saddle so maybe I was imaging things?

The other is that her canter is really on the forehand. What level are you selling her as? Her canter would bother me more or less depending on the level of horse I was looking for. You said she was lazy so it could just be that, but I think it would be helpful to re-shoot some canter footage showing her tracking up and using her hindquarters more.

Otherwise she seems like a lovely, willing girl! I hope you find a great new family for her.

Oh I’m so glad you see that too Elrohwen! She definitely seems to have a bit of a limp/favor.

KtyKattin – Her mane is just so thick it wouldve taken me forever to french braid her so I decided to keep her maintenance braids in. She was going to get her feet done the next day, she was a week over-due, but yeah, I wouldve liked to have had her feet done earlier, but I really needed the video done that day as it was the only time I could have the camera… its not my camera haha.

Elrohwen and SLHuman – The ground in that arena is SO not my favorite, it is just pure dirt and gravel, and the actual dressage arena is worse! So it may that she had stepped on a rock in the arena. There is seriously no footing in it. Also, from the moment I started showing her in a bit (she was first trained for a few years without a bit) and we work on her overbending a lot. No matter how much I keep my hands still, she overbends. But we are still working on it. She is Intro Level Dressage.

                      Thanks for the feedback everybody!

I think for an intro horse she looks very nice. At that stage you’re mostly looking for a horse who is biddable and calm which she appears to be.

I was going to say the same things-she seemed to favor on the fore but I`m not sure if that`s me and my interpretation or if I could actually see that. And ditto on the tail -you can see she has great tail carriage, let it flow for the video-take that sock off . She`s beautiful, and really well collected-great video
