I’m not sure whether this has been asked before as the search function isn’t working right now. I’m pre-bonding my 2 year old male with a female (unsure of age as she was abandoned). They’re both altered and they’ve been living beside each other for a week and a half now. They show interested in each other (they lie beside each other in their cages and sniff each other through them) but when I let my male out to roam around tries to nip at her in the cage so I put up a blanket on hers so he can’t. I’d like to start switching them back and forth between his cage (their permanent) one and her temporary one so that my male starts to get used to the idea of it not being just his. My question is whether I would just swap the rabbits or swap their littler boxes with them?

Thanks for any help you can offer me!

          Hi there, welcome

I’ve always swapped just the buns. I’ll even try to time it so the litter box is dirty from the other rabbit using it for at least a few hours, so the rabbits get really used to the other bun’s scent.
