Okay, here’s my frustrating situation. All my other rabbits were SO EASILY littler trained.

My 8 month old lop, Bindi Loo, has been pretty good about the "potty". Not always pooping in it but always pooping only in the "potty" area during run times. I put newspapers down to catch the "uh oh" poops also because he likes to dig the daylights out of newspaper. Bindi would always pee only in the box.

For the last few weeks, he is only pooping on the paper, not in the box (I take the litter box from his cage so it already has some poops in it). And worse he is peeing on the newspaper pretty much every run and then I have to put him back cuz his feet are full of pee from stomping in it.

Any tips? Could this be because he is maturing and not fixed? He is going to the vet to be fixed in November.

I hate to say it, but it does sound like it’s the hormones kicking in. What do you do when you see him pooing outside the box?  In the mean time until November, you might want to try and entice him to go in there or shrink his run space (and ego) to try and re-train him to use it again.
