Booker T is having a potty problem. She is about 9 months old, spayed, she knows how to use her litter box in her house but she is having “accidents”. She loves to be in our guest bathroom because the tile floor is nice and cool. However she is using our bathmat as a potty. She is also using the door mat in our entry was as a potty.

She has a litter box in the living room and I put fresh litter and a tad of used litter in there so she knows its a potty but she doesn’t use it.

        Any suggestions ?

I am by no means an expert but I’ve been reading a lot. Maybe you should try putting a litter box in the guest bathroom AND the living room. From what I’ve seen rabbits choose where they potty, we don’t choose for them. Just a thought.

Yes, I would try putting a litter box there as Katydidz suggested as well since she’s fond of using that particular spot. Keep the one in the living room too for when she is in there.

You can try to make the litter box(es) more enticing by putting hay in it. I found this worked well with my newest rabbit. Also, make sure the litter box is plenty big as most rabbits prefer a nice, roomy box where they can sit comforably.
