Well, it’s been a little over a week since Indie had her surgery.  Her eating has returned to normal.  She is getting around well aka getting into way too much trouble.  However, since I had her spayed she hasn’t been my normal snuggle bunny like before.  I thought maybe it is because she is still sore, or maybe pissed at me for getting her fixed at all, but I was wondering if this is common? Will she go back to normal soon/ever? I miss my super excited bunny face and random launches onto my chest that end up in bunny worshipping and happy contentment.  Plus, I just lost my long time companion (Nova kitty) after 17.5 years, so I am feel a little emotional and needy.

Sorry for the loss of your bunny.

While I can’t say for sure whether she will be exactly as she was before, I can say that right now her hormones are going crazy and that will definitely affect how she’s acting. It usually takes about a month post spay for the hormones to return to normal. So, at this point, I wouldn’t be too concerned.

Nova was my kitty, but thank you. I got Indie because I have had bunnies in the past and I knew that Nova was sick. She’s been a joyful distraction most days. She’s very sweet usually, when she isn’t being a little bunny @hole hehe

Sorry about that. I read “Kitty” but wrote “Bunny”.
