Post-neutering recovery timeline?

Hi everybunny! Antar (Holland Lop) is a little over 3 months old (born Oct 18, 2018) and I think he might be starting puberty. I tried to look for his testicles last night but I couldn’t get a good peak, although I think I might have seen them. He’s usually pretty good with his litter box, but recently peed on the couch twice (Sunday and Monday) and this morning he had completely torn up his grass mat. If he’s not ready yet, I’m sure he’ll be ready next month. His baby fur is falling out and adult fur growing in.

My biggest questions regarding neutering are about the aftercare. I’ll be travelling a bit in February (he’ll be staying with my mom while I’m away) and want to time the surgery correctly so I’m here for his aftercare. How long does it typically take for post-neutering recovery? The general information I’ve read says 10-14 days, is this pretty accurate from people’s personal experiences?

My boys were back up to no good after about a week. The first 2-3 days were touch and go just because the anesthesia is wearing off as well as any heavy pain meds they were given, and they’re trying to manuver themselves with aching little dudes. But about a week after they were quite fussy they weren’t given their usual amount of play space.

My first bun took a while to recover – more than 14 days, b/c of improper vet procedure. he was one of the dwarf breeds – really small- and the vet gave him too much anesthetics. For a while it was kinda like a coma, he barely was able to eat. This lasted for about 3-4 days and then about on the 5th he was finally able to move around a little, and then a couple of weeks later he was back to normal. So long story short, I would go for a specialist to keep your bun safe.
