I’m not sure where this should go. I have a 10 year old lionhead who got dental filing yesterday. I brought his 8 year old lop bondmate with him to preserve the bond. Well, things were fine for a few hours back home, but come midnight I hear a noise. My lop is chasing my lionhead around. She did this all night. What’s weird is their bond seems in tact. She groomed him, and they were laying side by side to get pet. But then all of a sudden she’ll lunge at him, he runs, she chases. She did this recently after a vet visit and it self-resolved, but given his compromised state I eventually locked my lionhead in the bathroom right by their area at 6am so we can all get some semblance of rest.

im not really sure how to proceed. I have set up a “gate” on the bathroom door so they can see/smell each other, but it’s not stable enough to leave them alone. I have to visit my daughter in the NICU, so I have no choice but to close the bathroom door for 4 hrs or so. I’m hoping I can work with them this afternoon. Any tips on how to proceed? How can I preserve the bond?
