Can people on here post pictures of their bunnies cage (x-pens or c&c). I would really love to see what y’all have done, so I can get ideas. ![]()
This is my two’s setups ?. Luna(the lop)’s still waiting for her hidey house, bowls, and new plushie (my dog destroyed her old one…Sorry Luna!) to come in (she’s also basically free range), and Miss Nova is waiting for me to have some extra funds to get a nice rug/bathmat, bowls, and fleece in her area (she has lots of foam mats in the bathroom and tends to keep to them so I’m not super worried about sore hocks…hopefully after my next payday I’ll be able to get her some fleece and fun stuff) ☺️ I also may build Luna a tower that’s similar to the one in Nova’s that’s off to the front right corner and pick up some more of the fleece that’s in her area to line it/make it cute ☺️ I’m just trying to decide whether to make it a free standing tower that I could move around the room or to make it something that is attached to her cage…although I could just use clips to keep it attached to her cage so it’s still easy to move around…hmmmmmm…

Here are the two pictures of Honey Lemon’s setup I’ve gotten so far, still tweaking as I go since I thrift as much as a can for it so kind of a waiting game!

A beautifulhope, there are usually really cute fabric yard remnants/end of bolts in a huge clearance bin at fabric stores if that helps at all (:
How big is your cage?
You guys all have really adorable setups. I’m jealous! ![]()
Where did you get those latches? also, what did you make your cage with? The pieces are so big.
Having problems adding photos.
Here’s KitKat’s little area…she is in her pen when there’s nobody home, but as soon as anybody gets there her cage door is propped open and she can come and go wherever she wants.
This is inside the pen, but the basket is gone now and gets kept outside the cage, so it doesn’t take up so much room. She has a couple of her fave toys in there most of the time though.
And Toby doesn’t have a cage…but here’s his area. It’s been rearranged a little since this pic, but this is the basic idea.

To add to my post, honey lemon is now jumping out of her pen onto the couch (her pen is in a wall corner with the couch on the other side so just the side with the door is open visually for her) I will be making a mesh hamper type material cover ASAP lol. The latches come with the pen, it’s on amazon as a dog pen I think, but you can buy expansion panels which was appealing for once we spay and get a husbund and they’re bonded(:
BunsandDolls what is that gray blanket you’re using?
Not sure why I can’t put my picture up.

BunsandDolls what is that gray blanket you’re using?
Under KitKat’s pen? It’s a rug I ordered from Walmart.com for $20…gives her a little bit of cushion, so her feet don’t get sore, and it’s easy to vacuum clean.
What’s it called?

What’s it called?
It’s this rug

Here is Cincinnati’s pen.
How big is that wide? Is it hard to clean? Did you hook them together?
What did you use for the floor?
Thank you.
@CrazyGemini22 The pen is 6’x3′. They come in 3’x3′ sets, but are modular. You can add as many as you’d like – it’s easy
Here’s the link to the pen: http://www.amazon.ca/IRIS-CI-604-Outdoor-Plastic-4-Panels/dp/B000FS6INU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1442108223&sr=8-1&keywords=iris+pet+pen
Here’s the link to the extra panels: http://www.amazon.ca/IRIS-2-Piece-4-Panel-Indoor-Outdoor/dp/B0058RA4HE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1442108307&sr=8-2&keywords=iris+pet+pen
I have to say I’m a little in shock, because they seem to have doubled in price!!
Ever since I got another pen (so as to have two doors rather than one), it’s been easy to clean. I just sweep with a dustpan.
The floor is non-skid ceramic indoor/ outdoor tiles. They really are non-skid and very high quality.

The roof is made of plastic zip ties with back up automotive steel zip ties (in case the bunny chews the plastic) and ‘c & c’ modular storage cubes.
The underfloor is actually for underneath house flooring – it’s 1/4″ poplar.
I really want of those white ones but the shipping is insane. Found one where the shipping isn’t so bad (£25 as opposed to £118 on Amazon…) so maaaybe I’ll be able to persuade my wife.
It’s so nice to see so many suitable but still stylish bunny homes! And so clean! ![]()
I was thinking about getting this for my rabbits. I have some what of a c & c cage. I used the coroplast for the sides. The older bunny is chewing on it so I put binder clips all around it and put a towel where she was chewing. The paint was coming off when she chewed on it. That pen looks nice. The roof comes off right?
Do you know how many inches wide it is?
2 of them together, like in my pictures, are 6′ wide. The roof comes off, yes, but as seldom as possible!!! It takes a lot of time to assemble. I rarely take it apart, and wouldn’t recommend regularly doing so. Besides, the back up automotive, stainless steel zip ties are expensive and a pain to remove. They are the only way I felt safe putting something so heavy over the pen though.
If you have no other pets, you could use something lighter and easier to remove. My cat and rabbit are friends, but they are still animals. I don’t want to take a chance, so I made it impossible for her to access his pen when I’m gone. He’s out and about with her when I’m home.
I’m looking for so,etching big but small (I hope you understood that) What are automotive zip ties?
This cage would be really cool for my hamsters !! Kamagra http://www.kamagrakaufensie.com/
@ CrazyGemini22 – they’re really strong zip ties made of stainless steel that are supposedly used in cars (not a mechanic, but you get them in the automotive section of hardware stores). The amount of force they can withstand is much more than normal zip ties. I have mine on loosely, as backups.
