Hi im a new bunny parent my rabbit is 3 months old and her name is oreo i just got her a week ago but i think i accidentally gave her too many pellets after reading about what happens when you give them alot so i took them away and only been giving her hay but ive noticed her poop was slowing down and ive read things about g i but she doesn’t do any of thr symptoms she eats her hay , plays and runs around but hardly any poop for a day but then she finally pooped alot at 1 time and still eats and drinks but should i still be concerned? Any tips would be helpful because right now we are low on funds and cant afford a vet i would love if someone could please help me i love my rabbit alot and don’t want her to be sick or anything

If she has pooped a lot now, I think you’re pretty much in the clear. She’s alert, has good energy and a good appetite and she has pooped a lot.

Does she eat a good amount of hay?

If she eats a good amount of hay, you  can slowly reintroduce pellets little by little starting tomorrow or so. She is a baby so she needs pellets to grow, but hay has quite a bit of nutrients, so she will be fine a couple of days on just hay and water – provided she eats the hay, of course.

Obviously keep a close eye on her poop.

Baby rabbits can eat quite a lot of pellets. Some even free feed babies, but most people just refill the bowl when it’s been emptied.

A good thing to have at home for minor tummy trouble is simethicone baby gas drops. You give 0.5-1 ml if you suspect gas. It’s not expensive, a small bottle lasts a long time. They have it in the baby aisle in f ex Walmart.

Its great that she eats her hay! Hay is the best thing for rabbits of all ages.
