So my sister and I were sick of waiting and his owner got offended whenever we brought up making Porkie a bigger cage, so we did it ourselves. I payed for everything, but I’m happy I did because he loves the new add-on! The whole deal only cost me less than $40 because I got the four extra litterboxes and the 38 cube panels for free. It’s not very big at the moment, but once I get more panels we plan on adding levels. It’s very bare, besides litterboxes in every corner to help him realize that the floor isn’t for bathrooms. And two small stuffed animal. We expect him to continue pooping on the floor until it smells more like him but, so far, no peeing or spraying. Which really surprised me greatly. And I swapped out his square litterbox that was in the original cage for a corner-shaped one. We cut garbage bags and put them around the cage to protect the walls incase he does start spraying. I’m so glad he can fully stretch out now and actually has room to groom himself. Now I’m off to find out what I can make for him because I have a bunch of fleece and cardboard boxes and a bunch of time :3 What do you guys think is a must have?

I feel really mean for laughing, but he’s not used to the slippery floor so whenever he goes to jump up the ramp he slips. I took him for a walk yesterday and there was a little girl who was convinced he was a puppy, she was so cute haha

That’s cool! We bought one of those hutches when we first got Peppy, and haven’t known what to do with it since we brought her inside. I hate that we wasted all that money on it, and it’s too late to return it to the store. Maybe I can use it as sort of an addition to her current cage. Thanks for sharing your idea!

When I saw the title of this thread, I did a serious double take. At first I thought “huh I don’t remember starting this thread.” Then I though “why did somebody post about our bunny’s condo? It’s the same size it’s always been.” Finally I realized that this was a thread about some other bunny named “Porkie” not our “Porky.”

That looks like a nice sized play area.  I bet Porkie really apperciates it.

No problem! I didn’t want to waste it either, it was so expensive and I liked that he gets to hop up. I wanted to enclose it originally, so he could go under it but we decided not to.

Nope, our Porkie is a big, albino, Flemish Giant who will forever be my Porker, even though he isn’t mine anymore. His owner wants to change his name but I’ll still call him Porkie haha
