I just found out the pet stored was wrong (of course) and ponyo is actually a girl! Has this ever happened to you guys where you’ve thought your pet was a certain gender.. I don’t want to say I’m sad but it’s quite an adjustment after calling your pet “baby boy or little boy” and having the thought of it being a boy… or is it just me?

Don’t worry! Give yourself time to adjust and soon you’ll not remember you ever called her a boy. ;o)

This happens frequently, I’d say close to 50% of the time when someone brings home a baby rabbit. It’s all right, she’s still your same little bun, whether she’s a boy or a girl! And Ponyo is a cute name for either sex.

The pet store where I got my oldest rabbit told me it was a boy. But “Thor” came back as Esmeralda.

I think I said something in your introduction thread. My husband likes to watch this movie. I found the english trailer for it. I think it is kind of fitting. Your bunny did make a transformation. Hehe!

And I love her just ts just the same its just the idea of saying she instead of he now! I have an adventurous little girl and wouldn’t trade her for anything!

Yup, happened to me…I had brought Remi in for what I thought was going to be a spay, only for the vet to call me back and say he’d be doing a neuter instead!

Happened to me too. My first rabbit “Princess Panda” actually ended up being a Prince. It was really wierd on night I came in from my patio and my buns was lying there and I started freaking out because all of a sudden my baby girl had testicles. LOL

I am absolutely in love with your bun’s name! The only thing I kept thinking when I saw her name was, does she love HAMMMM!? I love that movie!

Yup..add me to the list… I was told “Bailey” was a boy than decided to look for myself one day and “he” was a “she” and the vet verified my findings.. The next bunny I got, I was told was a “boy” but when I went to pick “him” up, I looked for myself and “he” was a “she” AGAIN

                          LOL oh well
