        Hey all!

Can rabbits have pomegranate leaves and branches? Not the fruit, we have a bunch we are about to trim down and I was hoping to give them to my buns to chew on. TYIA! <3

Me too! My vet doesn’t know, none of the rescues I’ve talked to know either.

Apparently we can eat the leaves, fruit, flowers… Normally people safe flowers/plants are rabbit safe. The bark *might* be more of a concern due to alkaloid content.
As for the fruit, I have a friend that gives her buns some pomegranate “gems” as a treat.

I’ve never been able to find a reliable source confirming pomegranate seeds, leaves etc as being safe so I would avoid it.
