please help

so my friend’s boyfriend’s family has a rabbit that was my friend’s boyfriend’s ex but she moved to an apartment where she couldn’t have a rabbit. long story short the rabbit has been at my friend’s boyfriend’s house for about a year and the ex has showed no interest in getting the rabbit back. so, my friend is going to see if they would be willing to get rid of it so either me or my friend  could keep it. the only reason i would even consider taking it is because the family doesn’t know how to take care of it. like the rabbit supposedly has two dewlaps because of fat, and can’t groom herself.

sooooo the real question i need to ask is how to convince my parents to let me take the bunny. she is a lop and that is all i know except for her being black and white. her name  is Lola. I think? my parents don’t want another rabbit but also they don’t really like lops for what ever reason. so any help to convince them to let me get her if the family decides to get rid of her. I sure hope they agree to give her away because I feel so bad for her.

I just want to help. I am going to talk to my mom to see what she says first before talking to my dad. so nothing is definite including the possibility of the rabbit being up for grabs.

If your friend ends up not being able to take the bun, and if your parents don’t change their minds, then maybe you could help find a good rescue for her so she can be adopted .

thanks for the suggestion Luna I also forgot that the ex may want it back at some time or the family won’t give it away

soo basically I probably wont get THAT rabbit but I still want to get another rabbit if possible. so I would still appreciate help to convince my parents to let me get a third rabbit please
