My lop, Leopold, is generally the non-cuddly of our two rabbits. It has become apparent, however, that he is a daddy’s boy. Whenever I pick him up, he will immediately start pulling at my shirt. He will pull until his teeth slip from the fabric and then he’ll go in for a second tug. I will tell him “no”, but that doesn’t do any good. My hands are obviously full so I’ve tried blowing on him to distract him… that doesn’t work. My husband will come over and push lightly on the top of his head. Nope!

BUT, whenever my husband picks him up to hold him, he just sits there calmly and looking around! Agh! What a little turd! So does this mean he likes my husband better? We give him treats regardless of who is holding him. We started the hold and treat ritual not long after we got him to get him used to being handled long enough for when we need to do something. He used to bite me whenever I was holding him, but now it is just the pulling at my shirt.

My bunnies are like that. Monkey prefers me, Moose prefers my hubby. Smudge doesn’t care as long as she gets pets and nommies

Well, at least I still have my little Woolikins.
