So many of you probably already guessed, I’m a Pit Bull freak. Haha. So I wanted to share with you a few videos of everyones favorite Pit Bull, Sharky, with some bunny friends.

There are also videos of him with ducks, chickens, chicks (riding his back), a cat, a guinea pig, and other weird creatures the media doesn’t want you to see a Pit Bull with because it would kill their ratings.

He was raised from birth with all his animals, but not all Pit Bull have to be raised with animals to like animals. My man was abused and then dumped, but he loves all creatures.

Just a reminder. Intros with any species, breed, type, gender, or personalities must be done slolwy. Not all dogs will like small animals. When I introduced Philly to the small animals it was done slowly and carefully.

Aw, cute! I love Pits, wouldn’t mind moving somewhere tolerant and fostering some eventually.

Thanks guys, glad to see their are fellow Pit Bull fans here.

Some day I want to open a rescue that specializes in Pit Bull type dogs, and abuse cases. We’d take in past fighting dogs, abuse cases, neglect cases, and we will have education programs for animal abuse and for Pit Bulls. I also want to start a service dog program that only takes rescues in the program.

Kokaneeandkahlua, thank you! He’s not mine though. My man is in my profile picture. Sharky is a famous Youtube pittie.

If you have facebook, American Dog Magazine highlights pit bull rescues and other things related to them every week on there (and also in their magazine), might be able to make some contacts via them to help along in that mission.

I got on the pro pit-bull side after watching some of those shows on animal planet which led to me researching all those myths for a research assignment last year. It’s makes me so happy to not have to tell anyone on this thread any of those because you’ve probably already heard it.

And it’s really funny that pit-bulls get the worst stereo-type (stupid hoomans!) when really I believe last year, the dog with the most reported bites was a golden retriever! (although I love goldies too, my family has had 1.5 goldies). It all comes down to training. END RANT lol

Thanks so much Stickerbunny, that would be great! I’ll also look them up, thanks!

FrankieFlash, you are right. In fact Labs and Goldens have been recorded to have bitten more people then Pit Bull type dogs. Pit Bulls also out rank most breeds (including labs and goldens) in temperament tests. I can’t understand the hype media gives them for the life of me. I work with abused pitties and they are all so sweet. I have been bitten by other dogs, but not one being a Pit Bull and I spend most of my time with them. They also used to be America’s number one dog of choice, till the media started to warp the idea of Pits as family dogs. :/

My man wouldn’t hurt a fly, he was a rescue (abused and then dumped off somewhere), yet he loves ALL people (children are his favorite) and he loves all animals. In fact when I adopted him they told me not to allow him near children because of his energy level. Then one day a kid came RUNNING at him, screaming in his face… he sat down and looked away because he could careless. He also loves going to the school down the street and meeting kids or watching them play. I foudn out he is awesome with kids, actually. That’s what got me to decide to train him to be a therapy dog.
