The first picture is Peaches & Peppermint – they now have the room to themselves – I used to have 4 cages in there but now I only have 1 (down due to various reasons, adoption, at the sanctuary, death, etc).
The second picture is in the big bunny room – the 2 Leith condos are Panda (3 stories), Pepe (2 stories) and Emmy (on top of Pepe).
The third picture in the pens in the big bunny room are Toffee & Twizzler (pair) and Jingles. I’d love to give Toffee & Twizzler more room but right now it’s not possble.
The fourth picture is Giselle and Maxine each in a pen.
Maybe one of these days I’ll try bonding Giselle & Maxine to give them more space…not sure though since they both like to tear up carpet and Maxine is a bit food aggressive. Giselle just likes to redesign carpet. Maxine really could use more space too since she’s so huge. Giselle just cannot be trusted to free roam – she’s too destructive.

Nice condo’s , i like the wheels idea to move them around
very nice! LOVE how clean everything is
Really nice cono’s, we are going to put wheels under ours as it will make it easier to move around.
And my family thinks I am crazy cause the rabbit has his own room. They should only realize, its not just me. What a great set up
My buns have their own room too…lol, the bunny nursery!
Sarita- I love the triple deck condos. Did you make them?
i am ridiculed when i refer to my rabbit’s room to. or at least i get eye rolls. lol
sarita you have a very impressive set-up there. and very clean!!! nice job bunny mom ![]()
Thank you everyone!
LittlePuffyTail – I wish I made them myself but unfortunately not.
I bought them at Leith Petwerks – they are very rescue friendly – the owner used to be the chapter manager for Indiana House Rabbit Society and has since moved to Oregon this year. So they really know rabbits
and what works for them.
Wow Sarita, it is all so neat and well put together. Impressive number of bunnies! You must go through 50 pounds of litter a week!
Such a great set up. I’m jealous. Maybe I will order one of those condos. Is it way harder to keep clean with 3 levels?
wow. what a set-up. it’s probably a good thing i don’t have a separate bunny room because i’d end up getting more buns to fill it up. lol…
Woah!! Nice set up!!
I agree nice set up… I think your buns have more expensive furniture than I do for myself!
That is a wondeful set up!! I wondered how you did it with so many bunnies!! And like the others said, super duper clean!!
Those condos are beautiful! Love the wood trim! I’m going to have to show these pictures to the hubby, maybe it’ll give him some ideas when we start Mocha’s cube condo.
I found out that bigger and higher the cage, harder to keep it clean. I’m impressed by how clean and neat all the cages are. You are lucky to have such a well behaved buns. My buns are the farthest thing when it comes to neatness.
I guess that makes sense – double the floors, double the work! I know I’m ALWAYS cleaning up in Edson’s area. If I didn’t, it would be a pig sty! He’s kind of a clod. He leaps out of his litter box onto his stoop and litter goes flying! And after he eats his greens? Oh my, green water everywhere so again I’m in there cleaning up! It’s endless!
I guess it depends on the rabbit too. I actually find it pretty easy to clean because the mess is contained on the 3 floors – some floors are dirtier than others just depending – usually around the litter boxes.
I really love the x-pens though – unfortunately they take space out instead of up. My large rabbits don’t fit in the 3 story condo’s though so it’s not even an option to put them in those. The cannot squeeze through the ramp holes and it’s just not spacious enough overall for them.
I do clean my rabbits areas twice a day too. Vacuum that is. I really have to with so many otherwise it would be a disaster. I wake up at 5am to clean and feed greens. In the evening I clean, feed pellets, add fresh hay and fresh water for everybun. I have it down to about 30 minutes morning and evening and I really try not to stray from my routine.
I clean the litter boxes once a week – I have it down to about a little over an hour with 9 litter boxes. Osprey I go through a little less than 40 pounds of litter a week. I use a brand called Lone Star Bedding which is a pelleted pine litter actually made for horses. I’ve tried to find the Aspen Supreme but they don’t sell it around here. I used to use Yesterday’s New but it is TOO expensive and I don’t find that it controls the odor as well either. The 40 pound bag of Lone Star Bedding is $6 a bag compared to the Yesterday’s News at about $17 a bag.
Sarita, you sound like me! Get up at 5am and dump Edson’s litter box because it’s exploding from pee and then he gets his pellets at this time! He does acrobats for these! I’m so envious you have to clean litter boxes only once a week!!!! The pelleted litter you use – is it like the stove pellets? They are some kind of compressed wood but I don’t know what kind. The rescue uses these. I still have yet to switch litters but $17/bag for Yesterday’s News? Whoa that’s a lot! The pellets are $8 and with the amount of litter I’m using I don’t know if I’ll switch or not!
Yes, these are like the wood stove pellets. I know Osprey really likes the Aspen Supreme and I think he lives in California – is that what you are using? I will not use Yesterday’s News ever again :~)
I used to do litter boxes twice a week and I had more rabbits but it’s just too much work for this old body since I have to go up an down stairs and I find this new litter helps with the odor control so much better.
I think you should stay with what you are using especially since Edson has a urine problem – has it gotten better any?
I do change litter for Mango who is my free roaming rabbit downstairs and for Panda who has a side ferret litter box twice a week though – I’ve had to be creative with Panda because he scoots back into the corner to pee and poop and honestly he doesn’t always use the corner with the litter box but I cannot put a litter box by the ramp going upstairs because that wouldn’t work either. Mango is a digger and he seems stinkier than the other rabbits too – maybe because he’s downstairs and I spend more time by his litter box.
Wow, thats quite a schedule you have! It is apparently working quite well because the bunny rooms look excellent!
Sorry I haven’t replied but I’ve been without power for 3 looooong days! Edson’s problem has not gotten better at all. I think I’ll stick with the pellets for now. There is absolutely no smell because his pee is so diluted. That’s the only good thing!
