I know there is another thread with much the same question but I just wanted to start a new thread to see if people could post pictures of what they have to close their doors.

We are having problems with keeping our NIC doors closed, we have a spring on the end of one of those dog clips but it is not working well.

We use plain old wooden clothes pins on some of our doors, the kind with two wooden legs and a spring inside.  They seem to work pretty well, but the buns do chew on them.  On the other doors, we use dog leash clips that come with XPens.  Here is a picture of something similar:

in the 2nd pic is a thingy-ma-bob that i got on a key chain for a gift (don’t know where to find them).  the clip (1st pic) is a little small & the next time i’m at staples i’m getting a box of em that are the next size up.  so far so good, but i think if baby really pushed she could send this clip flying.

i use a big plastic clip i *stole* from my husband’s tool room.  it’s used to hold together pieces of wood that you glued.  i have a couple holding up my behind desk bunny proofing and one attaches Meadow’s enclosure to the side of her cage (the other side is permanently attached with zipties).  during the day i fold in 3 panels width into itself and clip it together so she can’t get between.  this way her space is still defined, but she can run in and out easily.  i’ll try and get a picture later.

i use zip ties as hinges and carabiners to keep the doors shut.  I also use carabiners to attach the top to the cage so it can easily be removed to clean or to block a doorway

I use a "trigger snap" it’s easier for me to open & close than the regular snap hook. Plus I find they go around the wires better.

I’ve tried the "D" ring hooks like climbers use and trouble is the bunnies can push the door out and get their head stuck in the opening trying to get out.

Thanks for the ideas, my 5 baby boys all stand in a huddle and get their teeth into the cage door and push pull it, they are so strong they have taken all the white coating off the door and it’s down to the wire.

I should be fit by now, when I get up in the morning I have all the animals wanting their breaky at once.

I get the cats their bikies first and then the dogs have a rawhide stick, I then run to the fridge for the vegies while the little criminals are tearing the cage doors trying to get them open, they start eating and I clean out the cage and clean the litter boxes and put fresh hay in.

I try to sweep the floor out with a dust pan and broom and they are jumping in the dust pan as I clean, they are lucky I love them to death. LOL
