Hmm.. wasnt quite sure where to put this so thought i would put it in the lounge instead of in the original post cuz it didnt have much to do with that, anyway everyone was saying how they couldnt get a picture without red eye, and i have never removed red eye from a bunny before lol but heres my attempt

        Original

        Edited Version

I wasnt sure if it was too dark? I couldnt remember how it would look normally.. i cant remember if the pupil is usually black with a blue surround or more of a pale colour? Hmm.

Isn’t it disappointing how some red eye shooters just seem to make the situation worse? I know mine always make my people and animals look like they have doll’s eyes. >.<

It looks better, granted, but it doesn’t look natural, I think. Was this a one-click shot or did you darken the pupil more than once?

BTW, here’s my attempt with Picture It! 9 by Microsoft. See how it just doesn’t look like a real eye? And it doesn’t help the color of the pupil to look grey.

Anyone here have Photoshop? How about you, K&D? What proggie are you using?

Looks kind of funky… a lot of photo edit programs have an auto red eye redux built in.

The first edit looks like he has a button for an eye. The second looks like he’s a cyborg.

Sorry, just being a critique over here.

No worries, Markus, it’s one of the few things I don’t really use on my program. It just doesn’t work well. :-/

Wish I could be of more help. We need one of our graphics geniuses to work with this. ^_^

I didn’t think Photoshop would be better than the auto red eye fix programs, but here ’tis and I think it actually is better.

i agree, it sometimes comes out ok in people, especially if they are quite far away in the picture, but for some reason it never works with animals, always looks funny when i try with my dogs too nice to see its not just me! lol

                                    Thanks, MM.

You do wonderful graphics (mutual admiration society) and I’m surprised you don’t have Photoshop.

Since I am the cheapest of the broke, and largely self-taught, may I suggest you do what I’ve done? Go to Ebay, find a very experienced seller (one of those with a 99% rating and hundreds of stuff to sell) and find a Buy It Now old Photoshop program. Like version 6 or CS. (I got 6 from a friend.) You can probably get it for around $50 and it will ship to you. Next month the schools will all be back and they snap them up from students who are unloading older software and getting new stuff for classes. Anyway, that and a dummies book will have you playing in no time. Save any work you do to a copy in a jpg, low to medium res. for posting here. With graphic skills already in place like you have, it’s just a matter of learning which way it’s done in their program, but they’re all compatible and basically operate the same way. A nice little project for the coming winter for you. I expect to see major greatness by spring.
