They’re adorable, bunnytowne !
Did you get a pedigree with the two girls ? Reason I’m askin’ is because Puff looks like she’s part Lionhead, like my Mattie. We were told she was an English Angora and got her from a girl that was going to get into showing rabbits then there was a nasty divorce and she decided to get rid of her buns ASAP. Mattie’s the one we had to get shaved, remember ? because she was blanket matted from not being taken care of.
What tipped us off that she wasn’t a true EA is that her ears didn’t “fringe”…….they didn’t curl forward like an English Angora’s ears are supposed to…….they have fur on them, but they stick straight up. Then, when her fur started growing back, you could tell she had a “skirt” around her bottom and the fur around her head behind her ears was much longer than the rest of her fur. So we now know that she’s not a true English Angora……no wonder the girl didn’t have any papers to give us !
On Ruby, her ears don’t have the fur that the English Angora’s have and they also stick straight up. You didn’t have a full body pic of her from the top, so I can’t tell if she has the beginnings of a “skirt” or not, but if she doesn’t have that, then she might be mixed with a French Angora, which doesn’t have fur on the ears. The important part being the ears, though…….because they have to curl forward and “fringe” (with the hair hanging down like fringe).
Anyway, who cares, right ? As long as they’re happy & healthy, that’s all that matters :o)) And they do look that ! I just LOVE how they look like little puff balls ! LOL !
Thanks for the great pictures :oD
